You already know what you want to change. You may even know why you haven't changed it yet.
What you might be missing is a system — a repeatable, flexible, evidence-based framework for making change actually happen. Not just once, not just when motivation is high, but again and again, in every chapter of your life.
The EDIT framework was developed by Sonja Ecklund out of 14 years of behavioral coaching and thousands of hours of 1:1 client work. It's built on a foundational belief: your life is not fixed, it's editable. Your habits, your patterns, your stories about what you're capable of — all of it can be revised, refined, and rewritten, one small edit at a time.
This course walks you through all four stages of the EDIT framework — Experiment, Design, Implement, and Trust — with the behavioral science behind each stage, practical tools to apply immediately, and reflection prompts that make the learning personal and actionable.
Whether you're a practicing NBC-HWC looking to deepen your understanding of behavior change and earn CE credits, or someone who's ready to finally make a meaningful change in your own life — you're in the right place.
I'll keep you posted when the course is ready! In the meantime, I'll pop into your inbox 3x/month as your penpal with the inside scoop on coaching and behavior change, tools to help you build a life you don't need to escape from, and powerful coaching questions to reflect on!
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
Explain the four stages of the EDIT framework and the behavioral science that supports each one
Apply the Experiment stage to identify and test small, low-risk behavioral changes in your own life
Use the Design stage to build personalized systems and strategies that fit your real life
Navigate the Implement stage with tools for managing obstacles, emotion, and real-world unpredictability
Develop the Trust stage mindset — including self-efficacy, self-compassion, and the ability to course-correct without self-judgment
Recognize and interrupt common patterns that derail behavior change (perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking, ambivalence, and more)
Apply the full EDIT cycle to at least one meaningful personal goal by course completion
EDIT is a four-stage, evidence-based framework for making change that actually lasts. It's not a one-time intervention, it's a repeatable practice — a way of approaching any meaningful change, at any stage of life, with clarity and self-awareness instead of willpower and hope.
Experiment
Test small, safe changes without fear of failure. When your goal is an experiment, there is no failure — only data.
Design
Build systems and strategies that fit your actual life — not someone else's. We'll use your values to guide the process of design a life you don't need to escape from.
Implement
Show up in the mess, before you're ready, imperfectly, and in spite of it all. Here's where we'll put your small steps to the test and find out what needs to shift.
Trust
Become someone you can count on. Self-trust isn't a feeling you wait for — it's a relationship you build, through evidence, one small commitment at a time.
I'm a board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), a behavior change expert, and the creator of the EDIT framework. I built this course because I kept seeing the same pattern: smart, committed, genuinely motivated people who had all the information they needed — and still weren't changing.
The problem was never information. It was the gap between knowing and doing. This course is built to close that gap and is for people who are looking for a more affordable alternative to 1:1 coaching.
Here's the scoop on my background:
NBC-HWC certified since 2017
5,500+ hours of 1:1 and group coaching experience
Trained 200+ new health coaches in NBHWC-approved programs
Lead faculty for an NBHWC-approved coach training program
Helped 200+ coaches pass the NBHWC Board Exam
Consulted with C-suite teams at 3 health tech startups

This course is eligible for 4 Continuing Education Credits from the NBHWC. Upon completing all four modules and passing the short end-of-course knowledge check, you'll receive a certificate of completion that you can submit alongside your NBHWC CE tracker.
Lifetime access. Once you enroll, the course and all worksheets are yours to return to whenever you need them — for this goal, the next one, and every one after that.
Completely. There are no live sessions, no deadlines, and no set schedule. Work through it in a weekend or spread it out over a month — whatever fits your life. (Though I'd encourage you to treat it like an experiment and give yourself a timeframe. You've read enough of my content to know why.)
Knowing about behavior change and having a personal, practical system for applying it to your own life are two different things. The EDIT framework is about application, not information. Most people who have taken my courses tell me the worksheets alone were worth the investment.
The Behavior Edit course teaches you the EDIT framework at your own pace, through video and self-guided worksheets.
The 1:1 coaching program, The Behavior Edit, is a personalized partnership where we work through the framework together — with real-time coaching, accountability, and a system built specifically around your life and goals.
The course is a great place to start, but 1:1 coaching is where the deepest work happens. If you choose to work with me 1:1 in my 12-Session Coaching Package, I will apply the cost of this course to the cost of your coaching package.
This simple worksheet will help you think about how to make a meaningful change that will turn your life into one you don't need to escape from! If you're not quite ready for 1:1 coaching or a course, but you're ready to make a change in your life, this worksheet is for you!
