Stop Doing Too Much
You know that feeling where you're just kind of..... over everything?
That's the space a lot of my clients have been in recently, so I wonder if you're there, too.
I obviously don't need to recap the reasons why we're all feeling frazzled and overwhelmed these days, but I am here to offer you a strategy to help you manage it.
It's a time management concept called MITs and it's all about helping you live a more meaningful life by prioritizing your top 3 Most Important Things every day.
This is not about fitting more into your schedule or adding things to your to do list.
It's about inviting you to think more broadly about what activities create meaning in your life, to give yourself a nudge of encouragement to prioritize those things more often, and to give yourself credit when you do.
For example, my personal MITs are doing something active, something creative, and something social as many days as I possibly can.
These categories are broad enough that they can include multiple things and there can be a lot of overlap between the categories (*examples below). The point? Prioritizing things that add meaning and value to your life, letting go of rigid productivity standards, and being more mindful about what things you want to do with your time.
This is for you if you're on the edge of burnout, feeling frazzled and overwhelmed, or you're just looking for ways to level up your life. We could all use a little more alignment, purpose, and joy in our lives, and MITs are a great place to start.
Want to figure out your unique MITs? Fill in the blanks below to get started:
It's always a good day when I get to do _________.
I would love it if every day could include some ________ time.
I feel really good about myself when I make time for ________.
I never pass up a chance to ________.
Something that makes me feel like me is _______.
Once you've answered those questions, see if you can fit them into 3 broader categories. Then, keep those 3 words top of mind as you plan out your days. It's simple, but a powerful way to make sure your daily life aligns with your values.
And after all, how we live our days is how we live our lives

Hello, I'm Sonja!
I'm a board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), a financial social work coach, a learning and development professional, and a behavior change expert with 14 years of experience helping people change their lives through the power of coaching.
I’m really into helping people figure out their values so they can live intentional and unapologetic lives that they don’t need to escape from.
I've got a thing for simplifying the complex, helping clients find clarity in the chaos and purpose in the process, and turning overwhelm into clear, manageable action steps.
When I'm not working, you can find me hiking in the mountains, snapping photos of everyday moments, reading next to an open window with a mug of tea, listening to a podcast while walking my dog, advocating for environmental policy changes that protect people and the planet, experiencing gratitude for the simple things in life, or searching for the best pastries (If you have bakery/pastry recommendations for anywhere in the world, I want to hear them)!
